We had a wonderful evening here on Saturday. It is our favourite Indian restaurant in Nottingham & we brought our friends. Service was excellent as usual. The staff are always so friendly & the food is delicious. Thank you & we hope to come back soon.

The Calcutta Club in Nottingham is highly regarded for its exceptional Indian cuisine and attentive service. Diners frequently praise the “simply amazing” food and the “friendly, knowledgeable staff.” We ordered garlic nan, chicken tikka masala, karahi chicken and poppdadoms. Aldd dishes have unique flavours and are amazing. The atmosphere is described as relaxing, making it suitable for various occasions, from family gatherings to romantic dinners. Overall, the restaurant provides a memorable dining experience that combines delicious food with excellent service. Absolutely worth the visit.

If you’re craving top-tier Indian cuisine in a lively setting, Calcutta is a must-visit. We tried the Chicken Saag, Mixed Lamb Grill, Chicken Jalfrezi, and Chicken Masala — each dish was rich in flavor, beautifully cooked, and well-balanced in spices. The quality of the food really stood out. The atmosphere was buzzing, full of energy, and clearly popular — thankfully, we had booked ahead, as the place was packed. The service was smooth despite the rush, and the overall experience felt vibrant and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian flavours and a great dining vibe. We’ll definitely be going back.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. The staff are amazing. The food is superb and the venue is beautiful. Hospitality is attentive and the food served in a timely manner with no rush but enough time to relax and enjoy. Top of the bill is the service. Friendly, engaging, intelligent and know exactly how to do their job. Very good. The food is fresh and superb. Very well cooked monkfish and amazingly tasty gravy. Fresh tandoori prawns were the best for a long time. So much on the menu we could have chosen was the hardest bit of the evening. Come and enjoy a wonderful night for either a group or a couple. It works just as well for everyone.

A worthwhile dining experience. We went as a group for the early bird special - for clarification this is starter and main for 20% off if ALL in group have this and arrive before 1830. We had great service and decent food. The chicken tikka starter was delectable and my colleagues who had the salmon tikka said it was the best they had ever had. Mains were fresh and tasty. I do think the naans being slight bigger would be more appropriately sized for a meal but still tasty. I had the chefs special of aasht gosht. I gave a 4 as it was nice but no mint as advertised in it. Still yummy. We couldn't manage desserts as too full. Decor was stylish and service impeccable.

Took my girlfriend for a valentines meal and Once again the Calcutta club did not fail to deliver. For anyone looking for a top notch dining experience in the heart of Nottingham city Centre, you won’t go far wrong with a night at the Calcutta club. In my opinion the best restaurant in Nottingham bar none. Superb.

Fabulous Food, one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to and it was packed on a Tuesday! (Must be good) Highly recommended.

Went with my work colleagues over the weekend. The food and service is nice. The staff is friendly. There are 2 things I did not like about this restaurant - the tables are too close to each other, and it is very noisy. If you are looking for something nice and quite dinner time then this is a big no no. If you are in a group of friends and want to make some noise, then a big yes :)
